Runaway Dreams

Already feeling nostalgic for a lost summer...

How I feel today...

'Nuff said.

Anthropologie

So while I'm not usually impressed by Anthropologie's catalogues, this one really hit the nail on the head.

New Shoes for Sale!

Listed several pair of classic vintage shoes to the store. Each would make a stunning addition to any wardrobe!

Lady of the Dust Bowl Era

My mother just passed along these photographs of her aunt, Grace Rienstra. Fashion and class amongst the masses like this will never exist in my lifetime I'm sure, but that doesn't mean I can't rock a pompadour and red lipstick!

Type O Featured!

Type O's vintage Corning Tea cups are featured in an Etsy seller's treasury. You can check it out here. Thank you to Michabella for including us!

New Vintage for Fall!

New vintage up in the store. Picked a lot of items that coordinate with each other and make multiple outfits. Get it while it's hot!

Thank God for the 1980s...

Punk women will always be a source of inspiration amongst the fashion world. Lately I can't get enough...

Big Hair

I want to see big hair make a comeback. I'm growing in my mane as we speak... Get on it girls.

Vintage Coming Soon!

Photographed all of my new vintage items, to be available soon. Stay posted in the next week or so, as items should be posted any day now!

Interesting finds...

Spent a couple hours thrifting yesterday and found some items that made me stop and look for a long, long time. None of them were particularly attractive but each item had been made with so much time and love you had to appreciate them.

This purse was made entirely out of shopping bags. Someone took the time to knot them all together and the craftsmanship was pretty meticulous. The lining was hot glued in.

It took me a while to figure out what this was. Baby hanger? Cat hammock? I'm pretty sure it was intended for a large plant. (My mom used to make these back in the day...) Why these macrame monstrosities became a fad is beyond me, although there hasn't been a fad that involved people actually making things since duct tape wallets were popular. Has the average person lost their skill for craft?

And this just made me really happy. This is the only item I actually purchased because for $1, it was just too cute to pass up.
