New Website Up!

I'm still working on switching over the domain from my old site to typeographics.com, but the site is up and ready to go. Will most likely be adding some images/information in the next few days and hopefully some more items will be going into the store but feel free to check out the beta site here.

Design for Web 2.0

So I stumbled across this article today regarding colorful logos and how great it is that logo designers are veering away from one or two color logos these days. And in the mix there were some very clever logos, like this anbigram for Odigo:















or this logo for Illusion Studio:















But most of these logos are just uninspired, overdecorated and thoughtless. They "work" because they're colorful and bright and make people "ooh" and "aah". But they all look the same. Personally, I'm getting sick of the overly ornate, gradient rich graphics that seem to
define Web 2.0.









Photoshop, anyone?
