So I come outside yesterday to see 3 people roll up outside the studio on a motorcycle. This stellar photo is the fruit of spontaneous effort and collaboration by Justin Keena, Steve Schinnerer and the lovely Heather McGrath.

Union Square's Paper Party

Thanks to all who came out to the Paper Party street fair, hosted by Union Square Main Streets. I had the opportunity to make the posters for the event and also had a table set up with some zines, prints, stickers and other various projects. Met a ton of awesome people, listened to some great music and gained lots of inspiration!

Video up from the Somerfun event!
My dear friend Steve Schinnerer of Paper Fortress Films just finished editing the footage from Somerville Local First's SOMERFUN event that happened in June. It was a street fair that was geared towards promoting local businesses and building a community. Despite the rain that day, it was a really great time. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to brand the event and design some shirts and merchandise. Thanks to all who came out!

Thank you...
...to everyone who came out last night to the Distillery Gallery in South Boston to celebrate the opening of Hypo Typo, a display of works incorporating various forms of text. The turnout was great and everyone's work looked amazing! Check it out if you're in the area- it's on display until July 15th!
Art Opening Tonight!

Date: | Thursday, June 24, 2010 |
Time: | 6:00pm - 9:00pm |
Location: | The Distillery Gallery |
Street: | 516 East Second Street |
“Hypo Typo“, opening June 24th, is an exhibit presenting a survey of artists which utilize text in 2D and 3D works. Curated by Snow Project, the show will feature a range of artwork created by artists of varying career stages. Though the premise is simple, the group of exhibitors is diverse in both background and approach to the exhibit’s criterion. Preexisting and new works created specifically for the exhibit will be included.
Snow Project represents the ongoing curatorial efforts of Boston-based artists Michael Dacey and Alex Feinstein. The venture began in 2008 with the “New Year’s Resolutions” series at the Washington Street Art Center in Somerville, MA. This series of enormously popular annual group exhibits includes “Draw Drawings Every Day” and “Hey I Know that Guy”.
Hypo Typo will include works by many local artists, including yours truly.

Loving these handmade necklaces by the lovely Emily Lowe. You can grab one, for sale in her Etsy shop.
Congratulations to Union Foundry's Aaron Panone of Aarn Wrks Dsn and Joshua Kampa of Open Bicycle on the release of their new gadget, the Rotafixer T0001-0A.
You can read a great review on it here.
I am fortunate enough to work in the same studios as these thinkers and I'm excited to see what they come up with next!

Love this little doodle by my friend Marco Depaolis. His drawings are great- super talented! You can check out his work through July 10th at the Fourth Wall Project at 132 Brookline Ave. in Boston.
